Over the course of this semester, I’ve grown to understand the revision process more, something I didn’t even know really existed before English 110. Once I got used to it and acquired the skills needed to revise a final paper, these revision strategies proved to be very useful. These are skills I plan to take away from this class and use in the future. Some of my favorites include highlighting what is important about readings or what stands out in my final papers. I like to ask myself questions about my final pieces to see if everything flows and makes sense, as well as starting a conversation with the text. Along with these skills, I like to incorporate my favorite editing techniques such as reading the final piece out loud, running over the small grammar mistakes, and even having someone else read too.
